Some of the Mayan villages are located in beautiful settings, high in the mountains, with pine trees and spectacular views.

Young patients waiting for the anaesthetic to take effect.
"This sure feels weird!"

Way back in the beginning: Dr. Robert Liners combing the dental supply house in Guatemala City, making the first equipment purchases for the new Rotary International Dental Clinic.
Photo taken 1989.

In the days before permanent facilities were set up at the Parroquia, the clinic had to be set up and torn down by each visiting dentist.

Patients fill the clinic while Ricardo Pacham registers them and fills out a dental record card for each one.

While more patients wait outside.

Lois Liners instructs a recovering patient in the proper use of a toothbrush.

Dr. Liners receives a gift of 3 eggs from a grateful patient.

Don't you think this nice set of teeth is worth saving?
Rotary International makes it happen.
