You make it sound so easy M.E. but seriously if you had a boat who's mast was higher than the clearance of the high tension lines, are you telling me you would take it under the center of the bridge then slip sideways to a point where you could pass under the lines and of course be able to do the thing in reverse coming downstream as well. ( and watch out for the even lower wire angling down on the Fronteras upstream side too) After all the gap between the bridge and the wires is not much more than a good spit - say 20 metres max' and the current runs strongest here. I know it's been done but the consequences of a motor failure at any point during this manoeuver are losing your mast if you're lucky or being turned into a boat load of kebabs if you're not.
Mind you most boats with a mast that high have professional crew so what the hell, or i guess you could always try it under sail to avoid the motor failure problem
